Try some spot shot. Or get the resolve multi purpose fabric cleaner. Please help!! I got black nail polish on a white cloth chair!?
Paint thinner, but I can't guarantee that it will not hurt your chair.
lol

sux 4 u!
Perhaps you could make it into a white with black spotted chair? I had a blue coth chair, my cat got into my accrylics and well... I decorated it, using his paw prints as a background with words on it... :P

But, you could try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser... not sure how it'll work with that... if it's a cloth cover, you could take it off and wash it. And, try vinegar...

On a nail theres the part thats on your finger, and the white part.Does the white part ever move up??

In other words, the white part of my nail is really far down because i used to bite them, but now that i am growing them, the white part looks ugly because its a huge part of my nail. Will they ever grow out??On a nail theres the part thats on your finger, and the white part.Does the white part ever move up??
I used to cut my fingernails too short %26amp; stopped. Over time the white edge has started closer to the finger tip; the nail plate seems to have re-attached a bit more to my nail bed.

Keep your nails filed at least to the edge of your fingertip. Use a nail oil or hand lotion. On a nail theres the part thats on your finger, and the white part.Does the white part ever move up??
I think biting your nails is a really disgusting habit.
XD That's the part that people LIKE to grow! A nail is all white, actually. But the part on your finger is so tucked close, that it appears to be a clear color.

Just grow your nails for a while, don't bite them, file them, and take proper care! They'll be beautiful.
It moves up when you move your finger up. ;)
idk. haha dat gets me two points!!!! i think.....
I guess so , I don't seem to a white part on one of mine.

How to put on white nail polish perfectly?

its harder to put on white nail polish than black nail polish

i want my nails to look perfect and not thick or with bubbles when i do itHow to put on white nail polish perfectly?
always put nail polish on away from you. put your hand on a solid surface doing on coat at a time. wait until the coat is completely dry before putting another coat on. do not move your hand at all. use q-tip to remove excess polish from around skin. How to put on white nail polish perfectly?
when you put it on just let it cover half of your nail if you have to then put nailpolish remover on a cutip if you want it to look like a french manicure... otherwise just put on the white with one layer and make sure there isnt much on the brush if youre going for straight through white.

How can I get nail polish out of a white T shirt?

I tried using nail polish remover on it but its not working HELP!!!How can I get nail polish out of a white T shirt?
Sorry, but you can't. The answers posted here will just destroy the shirt. Nothing will work. Either expand the ';design'; and enjoy wearing it or buy another shirt. How can I get nail polish out of a white T shirt?
finger nail polish remover first ( make sure you seperate the part where the polish is from the rest of the shirt, put your hand inside the shirt and hold it directly under where the polish is so it doesnt bleed through to the back side while you are scrubbing it), then scrub by hand with some good laundrey soap or dawn under warm water, then wash it in the machine.... i've been there and done that...lol....
follow these steps:

1. wash with detergent

2. dry it

3. rub alcohol or acetone on it
Scissors.
try to bleach the shirt

  • Besides Bleaching is there any way to paint some white enamel on my Teeth, like that of a nail polish?

I have done 2 of those painful machine scaling stuff(!). And I got those dirty stains back. I'm simply tired of polishing my enamel layer.

How about Pearlie paint -on?Besides Bleaching is there any way to paint some white enamel on my Teeth, like that of a nail polish?
OK OK.. Pearlie Paint...Hold it just a minute...Alright I'm through laughing now....Wow, you know, I can relate to your issue with the ongoing staining....Given the information you have provided it's time you gave some serious thought to Porcelain Veneers...Those are, if you don't know, thin porcelain overlays that are bonded over the face of your teeth. They can be made in any shade or color and they last a very long time, years. See your DDS and ask about them, Good luck and I wish you well.Besides Bleaching is there any way to paint some white enamel on my Teeth, like that of a nail polish?
Oh no, don't do that, you will damage your enamel and poison yourself with nail polish. Try some pure baking soda or some hydrogen peroxide, food grade. My teeth are as white as teeth can get, my dentist told me, and that is what I have used on my own teeth.
    Spray paint *smile*...
Try white strips, they work well. They even have a 5 minute one now.
Brush your teeth with a whitening toothpaste. And cut back on the coffee, cigarettes or whatever is staining your teeth.

I would talk to your dentist about it too.
    soak them in bleach. JK

go to a spa and get them whitened if you don't have the money for a dental whitening.
It sounds like you're talking about tartar build up, not stains. If you are, having a deep clean is the only way to get rid of it. Even if you do find some way to cover it up, in the long term you're looking at tooth and bone loss.

If you have chronic tartar, once the dentist has removed all the tartar from under your gums, keep it up with a sonic style tooth brush, floss your teeth daily and use an oral irrigator too (waterpik is good). If you keep your oral hygiene up in between visits, you'll only have to have normal cleans most of the time.
nail polish i dont think soo

    lol
I'm sure someone will invent something soon and make a zillion dollars. But so far no. But they do have temporary ';ultra-thin'; mouth pieces that fit OVER your existing teeth that are very white. They are NOT FALSE teeth. They clip on. (lol) Search for it on Google.
Why don't you just brush your teeth?

My toenails turn WHITE after taking off my nail polish?

and they stay white for at least 3-4 days after i have taken the polish off.

    why do they do this?

no on elses seem to do thisMy toenails turn WHITE after taking off my nail polish?
it's normal if they are yellow or white. it could be the nail polish itself that is causing the discoloration. there may be a certain chemical (can't think of it off the top of my head) in it. try opi polish, it does not have those chemicals. My toenails turn WHITE after taking off my nail polish?
they r sappose to be white they should not be yellow
Make sure you put one layer of clear polish on first as a base coat. Your color will go on smoother and stay on better. That should also help your problem with your nails.

What do u think about white nail polish?

is it yay or nay? What do u think about white nail polish?
white polish looks best in french manicure

if u want to paint it on the whole nails, ur nails should be in perfect shape, and u should paint the polish carefully dont leave any flaw.

white polish is unique, simple, and can go with ANYthing. What do u think about white nail polish?
I don't think it looks very good; I usually put a coat on before I put another color on, and it looks horrible. It is pretty bright, and attracts attention to the fingernails and makes the skin a gross color.

    That is just me though.

    =)
its really cute, and if your pale then it makes you look darker kinda (you know what i mean) and if you have darker skin it looks amazing; so yay!
I personally have no problem with it so yay, but my older sister thinks its really gross.

Its a matter of preference, I guess.
thats pretty much all i use!!!

    ((:
yay, but I don't wear it alone very often. I prefer to use it under a neon colour which makes the neon more vivid.
i like the creamy white or milky white ( don't know the right word for it :) )
    Good for French tips!
well i think its alright but i don't wear it very much it all depends on if you like it!
Nay, i like the white translucent one
i like it. it looks good with anything, so i mostly wear white or light pinks because i don't like bright colours
Nay,I think a pearly white would be better.
its good for french nails but i dont think it looks good for other styles
    I love it, it's chic.

sand the area very lightly... and then get a small container of mohagomey stain for wood..follow directions... and when you apply this dont forget ot over lap just a tiny bit... so you cant tell where you started... never ever use finger nail polish remover or any kind of remover on woods itll take the stain off and leave a white blob..good luck i knwo ya can fix this..heres ahugMasking tape!! l tryed removing it from mahogany with nail varnish remover, left a white mark, how do I fix i
You have probably ';melted'; the topcoat of finish. You need to use a fine grit sandpaper to smooth out and remove the white and then recoat the area with polyurethane.Masking tape!! l tryed removing it from mahogany with nail varnish remover, left a white mark, how do I fix i
all the above should work but be very patient when rubbing down.Always use wet and dry paper, the higher the number the finner it is.If you have to mask up again use low tack masking tape and remove as soon as you can.
Using a plastic pan cleaner rub the white mark ( glue ) with White Spirit or WD-40 that should get it off Never use nail varnish remover, wipe off excess and apply some mahogany stain

  • Would white nail polish look good?

i have indian colored skin and i was wondering if white nail polish would look good?Would white nail polish look good?
I can see where you're going with it...the contrast between the white and your darker complexion...however I think it might be a bit too much. Try using a lighter color that isn't as light as white (a pastel shade) or try getting a French manicure. A French is simple enough for every day, but also looks very elegant for special occasions.Would white nail polish look good?
Yeah! It looks great. I also have Indian coloured skin, and while black or dark plum nail polish looks the best, white also looks good; a testament to this fact is that I have a bottle of white nailpolish that I use to put on my whole nail, and one from a French manicure kit.

I would definitely give it a try! However, stay away from other pale nail polishes; while white provides really nice contrast, light blue, light purple etc will just make you look darker.
    I think soo :)

Just apply a clear top coat so it doesn't look like you were trying to do a french white tip :)

Could you answer mine? Its not showing up in the main bulletin thing

White was all over the catwalks for spring/summer 09 so is ultra chic...BUT it's really hard to wear, especially if you don't want it to look like TipEx! You have dark skin so it will probably suit you better than fair skin. Give it a go, if you don't like it you can take it off again! x
yes! everyone wears black nail polish now. i have darker skin and i wear white nail polish and get comments all the time on it. it's the exact opposite, but still really cool. all my friends are starting to wear it now too.

good way to stand out and be ahead of the crowd.
well that depends what shade of white u get. for darker skin, i would go with a lighter shade of white, and maybe a frosty white, not just plain white. or maybe try a plain white, with a gloss finish, i think that would look great!
White nail polish would look great on your skin tone. But off white or a pearlescent white would look even better! It would 'pop' more..Especially on the toes! hope this helps...
white nail polish alwyas looks good!

it also looks very clean and goes with anything, as long as you paint it on good!:)
not all the way white, but it'd be cute like if you got a skinny brush and did zebra stripes on them.
yeah it would. and you should put a sheer glitter or something over it. that looks really pretty too.
Yeah white polish looks good on anyone who's not pasty white
add one dark color and it would look perfect (not black or brown)

Use NON acetone nail polish remover ONLY. The regular remover containing acetone ruins plastic and rubber. Don't you to find out what it can do to leather.
I would say try rubbing it with cooking oil repeatedly and eventually you should be able to scratch it off gently.
Use a small amount of nail polish remover, place it on cotton wool and squeeze out the excess liquid before applying

What causes those white marks that sometimes appear on the finger nail?

White marks on the fingernails are called Leukonychia. The majority of them are caused by minor injuries to the forming nail under the skin. Even a relatively minor bump can leave a mark that stays with the nail until it grows out.

If you have a large number of white marks persistently for months, you MAY have a zinc deficiency. See your doctor for a checkup and be sure to ask. What causes those white marks that sometimes appear on the finger nail?
It's funny because when I was a little boy they used to tell us that those white marks were caused because of telling lies.

I don't know how long I believed it, but I thought I was a bad boy. I grew up in South America. Now once in a while when I see them on my fingernails I cannot stop but thinking of 'what lie did I tell?' , even to this day. What causes those white marks that sometimes appear on the finger nail?
I've been told it's from a lack of vitamin c or calcium found in fish. My mum always makes me eat fish if i ever get them and they go away
Little white marks (leukonychia) often appear after minor injuries. (Example: accidentally bumping your hand into something). They may last for weeks or months and usually go away on their own. I've had them and actually have some now. They're normal. We're all bound to get them with normal use of our hands. The chance of developing them increases the more we use our hands (or even simply getting into too much of a hurry).
I heard that it means you're lacking nutrition.
The ones that form at the bottom and eventually 'grow' their way up? I've always heard that it's an iron or zinc deficiency.
I've noticed that my nails tend to get white marks after I have slammed my fingers into something. Also, most healthy people's nails turn white at the tips when they have been cut, which indicates that a cut or injury to the nail will turn it white.

those people are wrong . hahaha . pink %26amp;%26amp; white is when they use the pink acrylic for the top of your nails %26amp;%26amp; white acrylic for the white french manicure part of your nails . french nails is when you get a manicure or regular acrylic %26amp;%26amp; they paint the white on . with pink %26amp;%26amp; white since the acrylic on the bottom is already white all they do is buff it like normally %26amp;%26amp; paint a clear coat on it . also pink %26amp;%26amp; white is more expensive. What is the difference between white and pink nails, and French nails at a nail salon?
The pink nails are a American manicure and the French are the brown at the bottom I personally think that I like the pink on bottom better more natural looking.

Well, my nails grow very fast and they're very strong and white. I don't paint my nails often but when I do, I put a coat of clear polish so that the color doesn't stain my nails. nail polish remover? do your nails in the bathroom where there isn't carpet! How do you get nail polish (red ) off of white carpet ?
Test remover in an inconspicuous spot for color fastness of the carpet.

    Then try.
    try goo gone
nail polish remover or wd 40 and water
first rub on nail polish remover to remove most of the stain, then put carpet stain remover to take out the rest.
You could always try nail polish remover. If that doesn't work, you could try using rubbing achohol. I'm sorry if my suggestions don't work. If they don't, just get liquid stain remover from the store.
Try acetone free polish remover. Acetone will dissolve the carpet fibers.
If the spill isn't too large, I would just snip the top fibers (if the pile is high enough). Otherwise, they used to sell Carbon Technichloride (!). It works on everything. But I don't know if you can get it anymore (taken off the market maybe).
    put a rug over it
FINGERNAIL POLISH REMOVER OR BRAKE FLUID WILL DO THE SAME

If your parents are stupid you may be able to say water marks. polish remover is acetone which is a caustic chemical that ruins painted and stained surfaces after eating through the clearcoat. Dont get that on anything or carry around in purse, you will loose a boyfriend if you spill it in his car . I use to have a girl friend that did that to me. I,m sorry to tell you that the damage to the table is not a quick fix.

What is that white arc shape at the bottom of your finger nail?

The white moon shape you see on your finger nail is actually called the nail

root. It is made of cells under the nail that also extend a little ways into

your finger. These cells produce the volume of the nail and the nail bed. It

looks white because the cells do not have any color pigments in them.

That's what it is if you're talking about the moon shaped thing.

What is that white arc shape at the bottom of your finger nail?
    lunula

Is it still in style to paint your nails white?

My friend at work paints her nails black normally(which is fine) Today though she painted them white and I think it looks like she got bored and paited them with white out. She swears white nail polish is in. Is it?Is it still in style to paint your nails white?
    No, it is so ';yesterday.';

Go with light pink or light tan or taupe for summer. Bright red always looks good, too.Is it still in style to paint your nails white?
I haven't seen it on anyone, but I recently read that anything goes this year with nail color and that your mani doesn't need to be the same as your pedi. (though I personally think not matching is tacky)
YEAH. gawd, you no nothng about fashion
Black and white are in for the ';mod'; look. Idk though I've always painted my nails white since I can remember haha
I just read in multiple fashion magazines that white nail polish is in. They even mentioned white out in the article and said that is THE look. It is to contrast with the black that was of the moment this winter.
It is in, but pastel pink is even MORE in!
it depends. if its just plain white it look kinda like white out so, you were right. i think it would look a lot cuter with flowers or some kind of design on it.

    =]]
I think whatever u want to wear or do to yourself is fine.
it is very in at the moment.... more for the spring though, in the summer go for a very pale pink.
White nail polish usually turns out like that.

And if you are doing something like that to be in style, that is completely unoriginal.

Try to make your own path, not follow others'.
yes white is in but there are so many other color's better than white like pink
I hope its not in style. i am loathe to imagine that it ever was. of course, I'm in my 30's and still in love with Sanrio and San-X stuff, so who am i to talk ;D
    totally.

My friend does in in white out!

    haha
The it thing of late has been short dark nails. Shades in deep reds, blacks, and purples, such as OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark, have been in tons of magazines as the new it colors. If you watch American Idol, you notice that many of the female contestants have been displaying this trend.
No...white tips, like a french manicure is in...but i would say the white out look faded away a long time ago.
I dont think so at all it is in...seriously it looks weird! Nails of ghost :)
No no no no no no no no no no no no no no! PINK IS CUTE THOUGH
I think it is tacky to paint nails white cause natural colors seem to me look the best. It's all about personal reference
no way! but black (in SOME circumstances) is cool but pastels are really in right now, too.

  • Do you think that white nail polish is classy?

not solid liquid paper whiteDo you think that white nail polish is classy?
Theres alot of different variety of white polish. They look classy and sophisticated on. But not solid liquid paper white.Do you think that white nail polish is classy?
Yes. It's chic, I love it. Not blank white, like solid white, it has to be pearly
    Sure, in particular pearly white
I think a french white or pink is ultra classy and chic.

In my finger nail there is a white spot, what could it be and why is it there and how can I prevent it?

The spots you notice are not caused by a calcium deficiency. They're called ';leukonychia'; and are very common. Most of the time the white spots simply are a sign of some past injury to the matrix (base) of your nails. By the time the white spot shows up (about six weeks after the injury) you've probably forgotten all about banging or knocking your fingers. Sometimes, the injury can stem from a manicure that put excessive pressure on the base of the nails. The spots also can be a sign of an allergic reaction to nail polish or nail hardeners and, sometimes, are a symptom of a mild infection.

Whats your opinion on white nail polish?

    OK, I have two questions:

    1) does wearing white nail polish look weird? in your opinion does it look cute or weird and tacky??

    2) i wanna paint my nails tonight, should i paint them white^ or shimmery pink?? (or tell me why%26amp; if you dont like either of those colors.)

Thankkss. =]Whats your opinion on white nail polish?
    all white would look weird.

    How about french tips?

get some tape and tape your finger nails so that there is a little bit of nail at the top that you can pain white

    paint

    let dry

    then take the tape off.

itll be perfect if you put the tape on well

then put a coat of clear nail polish !

    help me?

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;…Whats your opinion on white nail polish?
I think its really pretty. Just like clothes, you cant go wrong with white... since it matches or goes with nearly everything. It also makes a really good base coat if you want to paint your nails twice, makes the second coat stand out more--and depending on the brand, helps it to last longer.
it depends, if you do go with white, only do french tips, thats a way to make them look super cute and kinda fancy(:

i wouldnt paint the WHOLE nail white though, because i think it looks a little tacky,
    1) yes it looks weird.

    2) shimmery pink!
    depends what you wear.

    what shade.

    how you apply.

    length of nails too.

    so i advise you take the easy route go with pink%26gt;.%26lt;
    1) tacky.

2)shimmery pink because white is stupid.
White nail polish is weird looking. Shimmery pink is pretty %26amp; girly.
not really 4 white. mayb add some polka dots 2 it.

    i'd go 4 pink.
    1. It looks nice if it is applied properly on nice nails

    2. i prefer black :D
It looks so retro. I love it :)

The only problem is trying to get it on smooth without and lines or bumps :\
    love white !
white is best for french tips!
well my nails are white right now if that answers your question lol

What can i do to make my nails white?

I love long nails and i always have them but after a while when i have a shower they start to go a funny colour and loose their whiteness. They almost turn see-through.

Is there anything i can do to make them go white again?

What can i do to make my nails white?
Paint them. What can i do to make my nails white?
You can buy a nail whitening pencil that you just run under your nails for a quick fix of white again. If you keep it sharp then it works really well and looks very natural. You can carry it round in your handbag and its not very expensive at all :)
as it gets longer it loses the 'whiteness' because proteins are harder to reach the tippest part of your fingers. or whatever. something like that. you need to have a lot more proteins.
this really works, soak them in lemon juice it will return to its original colour
my friend doesnt drink milk and she has white nails...its weird.
    paint it duh

if it's fake i think u could still paint it

Please if anyone has suggestions that work, please share them. Thank you very much!HELP! I just spilled red nail polish on my white carpet!!! What's the best thing to use??? ASAP PLEASE!!!!
Soak up as much as you can right away. Then, if you want, use paint thinner or nail polish remover. However, be prepared to see the polish bleed over the rest of the carpet. My advice would be to limit the amount of carpet it can effect and let it dry hard. Then grab a shaver out of the medicine cabinet and ';shave'; off the affected area. Red stains badly and even remover probably won't counteract the pigment that will leech into your carpet.HELP! I just spilled red nail polish on my white carpet!!! What's the best thing to use??? i did the same thing last week but it was a very small spot so i just cut it out. it wasnt noticable but i did it cuz once it dried i couldnt get it up with anything. theres this stuff called goo gone dont use it, it'll ruin the carpet.

If you wear nail polish constantly when you do take it off your nails will be white because you have basically starved them of oxygen.

Don't worry, just leave the polish off until the natural colour comes back. They will get healthy again in a short time.I have worn nail polish on my toes for YEARS. Now part of my big toe nails are white , no pain or anything, j
I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean white spots? Because that could just have happened if you damaged the nail as it was growing.
People get white spots on there nails and toe nails, it just shows there was a calcium deficiency at that time. If it doesn't go away then it may be something else.
I have the same thing. I just think the nail is dried out from the polish being on it for so long. I don't like the way my toes look without polish, so I've used polish since I was a teenager(10+ years now). I wouldn't worry about it.
If you mean the white is at the bottom of the nail (Closest to your foot), it could be from a simple calcium deficiency. They're no big deal, just drink a bit more milk. They usually are in the shape of an arch.

The white bit of my nails - the top.Is a bit dirty , how can i make them gleam? Shall i put nail polish over?

I'm not a fashion expert, but use a 'nail cleaner'or nail brush, stick yuor fingers in a half lemon, don't bite them, be patient with them growing, wash your hands in warm soapy water. Make sure your hands are dry as you begin the process of getting them in shape.

Remove polish using a soft cotton ball. Dribble a small amount of fingernail polish remover. If you polish your nails, use as many cotton balls as you need to fully remove all nail polish. If you have a spot that's difficult to reach with a cotton ball, get your cuticle stick and pinch off a small piece of cotton, then wrap it around the flat end of the cuticle stick. Dip it in the polish remover and now you can get into those most troublesome places. Even if you don't have polish on your nails now, wiping the nail with polish remover will remove any trace of moisture left from washing your hands, as well as any soap residue that may be lingering.

Also here is a good website for this.

http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Your-Nails-L鈥?/a>The white bit of my nails - the top.Is a bit dirty , how can i make them gleam? Shall i put nail polish over?
If your cuticles are healthy (so this won't sting), trim and file the nails to a nice shape, make sure they are clean underneath, then cut a lemon in half and dig your nails into it for about 10 minutes. The lemon gives a nice bleaching action to the nail without overdrying. Then just use a buffer to shine them up.

If you really prefer a 'finished' look to a natural look, get a professional french manicure. The white bit of my nails - the top.Is a bit dirty , how can i make them gleam? Shall i put nail polish over?
    cut them

  • Husband's gonna kill me, just spilt nail polish remover on frosted glass table-went white?

won't come off with water...any ideas? Anyone ever sanded a glass table?! Agggggghhhhh!!!! :(Husband's gonna kill me, just spilt nail polish remover on frosted glass table-went white?
It depends on the table you have. If it is actual frosted glass then it would not be affected by nail polish remover as it is basically just glass that is covered in loads of scratches, and so you would be fine and just need to clean it off.

But, if it is one of those tables with the frosted patterns then they are made by having a thin vinyl film over the top of the glass which gives them the appearance of being frosted glass. And of course the acetate in your nail polish remover will react with the vinyl in the film to make vinyl acetate, so unfortunately there is nothing you can do to clean that off.Husband's gonna kill me, just spilt nail polish remover on frosted glass table-went white?
try prit stick and sugar might appear as it did before you spilt the varnish remover :)
YIKES! You can try mineral spirits but, that nail polish remover could very well have eaten through the glass etching. Get a real pretty table cloth, fix a fantastic dinner, drink some wine andddddd maybe he won't notice.

    BUY A RUG! ;)
oxiclean with water. or get a steam carpet cleaner.
I did that before, and NOTHING I did got the nail polish out. Good luck.
Oxiclean carpet cleaning spray. Someone said Acetone. You can get that at Sally Beauty Supply store, but be careful, it might eat a hole in it.
Nail polisher remover first, when that dries dab it with bleach.
do not beleive you - nobody in there right mind would have a white carpet -

Secondly - if you did have a white carpet, no one would have teenagers anywhere around that carpet with nail polish.

Why would you not apply nail polish in the bathroom or bedroom or even the kitchen table ??????????????//
Nail polish remover will spread it around and make it worse. Best you can do is wait for it to dry and pick it out, or if it hasn't gone down to far, trim it off.
Remove the bulk of the polish first. Use a clean cloth and pull the polish in an upward motion (so as not to smear it around). Keep doing that until the bulk of it is removed. Then use a clean cloth with nail polish remover to get the remaining polish. Try to use upward motions not to smear it around. After doing that for a while, it's ok to use a rubbing back and forth motion, BUT ONLY between your fingers. In other words, try to grab some carpet fibers with the nail polish remover soaked cloth and rub your finger tips back and forth over the fibers. Repeat as often as necessasry. Don't give up and let it dry. Keep at it until you think it's all gone, or removed to the extent that it won't be noticeable. After it dries it should be ok.

When all is done, if you find out that your best efforts didn't provide very good results, then contact a carpet installation company and ask that they replace a portion of your carpeting. Unless your carpeting is very old and faded, the new carpeting seciton should blend in very well and you won't be able to notice any difference.
Get remover and rub it in. Let it dry and repet it about 3 times. Theres no cleaner for that u may need to get a professional in.
well, u could try using nail polish remover. try pouring it onto the stained carpet and see if it works.
Acetone will remove it Check with a hardware store. when I was working somebody always brought their nail polish to spill, and acetone comes in a bigger bottle and was cheaper than polish remover. Takes a lot sometimes.
methylated spirit is probably your best bet it gets all sorts of make up out of your carpets. Please note though you must do a spot test first preferably in an area you don't always see just to make sure it doesn't dis-colour your carpet

How can I keep underneath my nails white?

The tips of my nails often get my snacks, some dirt, and other things under them. I want the tips to be white. I take the tip of a pointed nail file, file them daily, and scrape out stuff daily... nothing works. What can I do? I want them to look really clean so I can do a manicure. How can I keep underneath my nails white?
    Hi!

I have the same problem. I found that if you take the end of a cuticle stick and scrape underneath it gets out almost everything. And every night before you go to bed dip them in lemon juice and scrub with a nail brush. It takes little effort. It's also easier to keep them clean if you keep them short. And, even if a little something gets under your nails, the white nail polish from the french manicure, or any other color will cover the dirt.

    Hope your nails look gorgeous!

P.S. If you use baking soda, it will make your nails weak. How can I keep underneath my nails white?
Dip them in a bowl of lemon juice and scrub with a nail brush dipped in baking soda. Hope i helped:)

    Love,

    Sofie

Ok, it works because the lemon juice has citric acid, which bleaches, i believe lol. And after you already have the acid on your nails, using the nail brush in baking soda is basically like exfoliating your nails (the brush) and the baking soda is coarse enough to give exfoliation. The baking soda also bleaches as well, (its a main ingriedient in tooth whiteners) so presto, you have white nails!! If you get a chance email me, and tell me if it works:)

Why are my nails white mostly around my cuticles after shower/bath?

I used to bite my nails and now I quit, but after I take a shower or a bath my nails become white on the area close to the cuticle, almost half my nails. Instead of being clear and shiny, they're white and they have a weird texture, not flaky [yet] though.

I've been using oil on them and my left hand is better, but there has been no improvement on my right hand.

What could be the cause? Why are my nails white mostly around my cuticles after shower/bath?
the skin underneath your nails have soften and so has your nails. This is caused by the water, your body is mostly made up of water so it's no surprise when you bath that it would have an effect like water wrinkles. Don't worry to much, it could also be the cause of needed vitamins and protein. Instead of using oil try getting a small bottle of vitamin E, cut a tablet and use the liquid inside on your nails. Hopefully it will help, if not you might need to start moisturizing your skin or look to see if by chance you've had an allergic reaction. Go to a doctor if your really worried and nothing seems to help.

    Good luck鈾?!

  • How do i keep my nails white?

My nails grow quite fast and when they are long i love them. Then after a day they turn yellow and they chip. How can I make them whiter and stronger? How do i keep my nails white?
    Step 1

Instead of spending $20 to $40 for a manicure every 1-2 weeks, you can absolutely take care of your hands yourself. Healthy fingernails start with good habits...especially when you are at home taking care of your everyday responsibilities.

    Here's how to start.

Every morning, after you brush your teeth, apply hand lotion before you even make your coffee or the kids' breakfast and lunch!

    Step 2

Rub the hand lotion into your cuticles.

    Step 3

Before washing dishes or cleaning the floor, etc., apply more hand lotion and then put on rubber gloves. It may sound 1950s but it absolutely will benefit your skin and fingernails. The chemicals used for cleaning will damage your skin and fingernails, so a good pair of rubber gloves will prevent that, and rubber gloves last for years.

    Step 4

Always avoid putting your hands in very hot water....this also damages the hands' delicate skin and fingernails.

    Step 5

Gently file your nails in one direction from left to right, each day after your shower or bath, when your nails are softest. By filing in one direction, avoiding the see-saw, back and forth motion, you will put less strain on the base of your fingernails.

    Step 6

File away any snags that might form on your fingernails. These can lead to breakage.

    Step 7

Keep a bottle of Sally Hansen Hard As Nails clear strengthener in your car...Then, when you are sitting in traffic or waiting for your children to come out of school, etc., apply one quick coat to your nails. This way, you won't have the strong fumes in your home, and you can remember to apply it every day! If you apply one coat each day, you most likely will never have to remove any coats due to chipping. This will enable you to avoid the use of acetone nail polish removers, which are drying to the fingernails and unhealthy for the cuticles.

    Step 8

After just one week, you will most likely notice how nicely your fingernails are growing, and how the color of the nail tip is looking whiter. This means your fingernails are beginning to thrive!

    Step 9

About once per week, trim your nails with the clippers after your shower or bath, and apply hand lotion and rub it in the cuticle areas.

    Step 10

Always, always avoid artificial nails of all styles. These essentially weaken the natural fingernail because they cover it, preventing it from breathing and receiving sunlight. Mold can develop under the artificial nail, and when the nail tip is removed, the natural fingernail is tissue-thin and generally yellow and weak. This condition is painful AND unattractive. With properly cared-for natural nails, most people will think your nails are professionally maintained!

    Step 11

Remember the hand lotion every morning is key! This method will only cost you about $6 per month for the lotion and nail coating! Compare this with the expense of weekly or bi-weekly manicures, plus the hassle of driving there and waiting for your turn! You'll be so glad you cut the cost, and your nails will look healthy and strong as a result.

I spent a lot of time on this. I hope i helped! =) Take care. How do i keep my nails white?
The best thing you can do to keep your nails strong and healthy is to apply a layer of Gena's Hoof Lacquer. If you do that once every few days, your nails will become strong and healthy, and you will notice they will stay long and white. You can put nail polish over top, or underneath, because it is just like a top coat, but you will never find a top coat to match. It is absolutely amazing, I can not say enough good about it.
My nails are long and i enjoy having them that way. I had that problem about a year or two ago and i found out on my own that at Sally's Salon place you can buy a clear coat of nail polish that protects your nails. So if you like to paint your nails to show off there beauty in a vibrint sort of way i would suggest putting the clear coat b4 you paint your nails. Nail polish makes ur nails yellow. Espesially red. Also nail filers make your nails smooth and even. I do a flat tip so there always good for that. Cleaning out your nails isnt hard. If you take a shower every day simply put a nail cleaner ( the little brush sort-of thing) in your shower and clean out your nails with soap and water. If you dont you surely brush your teeth everyday. So put the brush next to your toothbrush or write a reminder on your mirror with expo markers. I hope i helped!

Try some Nutra Nail polish. A friend of mine uses it and it works. They also have some with green tea extract in it, or something like that. It helps your nails to grow longer, and stronger so they don't chip or break.
massage vaseline into them to keep them strong and rub them with lemon juice to keep them white, plus drink lots of milk and dairy for calcium (or take supplements)
there is this sally hanson clear nail hardener use that and also take the lemon or lime skin once you have cut it in 1/2 and squeezed out all the juice and buff/clean your nails with them
Try keeping a clear coat on them. Once and awhile soak put your fingers into fresh cut lemons. If you smoke that always makes them turn yellow, tanning will do this too.
Theres this tool that you can get the dirt out with and you can brush on this liqued stuff that wiull keep them stronger!!1:D
dont use lemon juice. itried that once and it made them even more yello. take a nail file and file your whole nail. then take lotion and massage your nails with them. trust me it works
Use a clear polish %26amp;%26amp; clean under your nails with a tooth brush (something like that) every night.
Drink lots of water, it goes to your nails, and makes them white.

Free edge of nail (white part) getting shorter and shorter?

a few days ago I noticed that the free edge of my pink nail was going towards the other side. like the non-white part was disappearing, and the white part was spreading. this is making my nail look extremely short, and it hasn't affected any of my other fingernails.

the nail/finger hurts a little when i put pressure on it, but it isn't anything dreadful.

this seems like something i can't control, and it's been happening for the past week or so. what should i do?Free edge of nail (white part) getting shorter and shorter?
You might be getting an ingrown fingernail. If it starts hurting more you should prolly go see a doctor. It's nothing to serious though, so don't worry.

Could be just a natural marking. Horses that have ';white socks'; sometimes have a much lighter hoof on that leg than their other legs. And I have a cat with mottled white on her feet. Some toes have white fur and light nails, and other toes have dark fur and black nails, even on the same paw.
    it's a Miracle

How do I keep the ends of my nails white?

Usually my nails are in fairly bad condition (stained) due to painting them alot, but after getting sick of painting them I've left them alone for a while and now they seem nice and healthy.

Only problem is the tips of my nails aren't even - there are clearer and darker patches on the tips. There's no dirt and I've cleaned them with nail varnish remover but it hasn't worked - any tips? How do I keep the ends of my nails white?
Yeah, you can get a white pencil at any drugstore or even larger grocery stores or Target. It's specifically made for running it underneath your nail tips to whiten them and won't cost more than a dollar or two in the U.S. You'll find them in the cosmetics section. How do I keep the ends of my nails white?
The best thing to do when painting your nails is to always use a base varnish and this will protect against discolouring. A French manicure is great for nails as you paint the tips of your nails white and they look very neat and tidy. You can also buy a whitening pencil especially for nail tips where you colour underneath the nail tip.
There is a nail polish called, ';Green Tea Renewel'; that is for nails that are over-painted and stained by past nail colors. :] good luck! I deal with that on my toes, they were colored black for a couple months and then turned yellow.
quit painting them. eat a balanced diet and drink lotsa water. keep them clean and filed. wash with a nail brush every night.
Just as an FYI, your nails can be a good indicator that there is something else going on with you. Nail health can give your doctor a clue about your nutrition or the health of your body.

Stop sticking them up your A$$. lol

I've read that if you soak your nails in eferdent it will help whiten them just like 10 minutes and brush under running water. I guess if it can work on false teeth it can work on nails.
start clealing them ever day and keep all the dirt out.
put some milky white nail polish
well if u start drinking milk and eating healthy things your nail should clean up. also you may have a nail infection so go see your local doctor
if your a smoker, stop , that is what is doing it....
you are either a smoker, or you just dont drink enough milk.. so- stop the smoke, and start the drink.

but you can paint your nails (tips) white.. thats what i do sometimes to avoid paying $30 for a french manicure. its so easy once you get the hang of it.

Paint your nails a light pinkish color like you normally would paint a nail. then just take the white nail polish brush and go the opposite way of how you would normally paint your nails... (go side to side, instead of the normal up and down paint) and only paint the tip of your nail.. after you are done with that, put a clear coat on it..

Looks great, and lots of people really dont even notice a difference until you really look at them.

    Good luck
Well if you're healthy the tips will naturally be white. Try changing your diet.

Wash your hands a lot and get the dirts out of them to prevent bacteria.

Don't itch your head too much, because that's where most of the dirt in your fingernails comes from.

or just french tip them if they bother you so much.

My dog ripped his back toe nail off. The toe nail is sideways & I can see a white stub where his toe nail was?

My dog ripped his back toe nail off. The toe nail is sticking out of his foot sideways %26amp; pointed up some %26amp; there is a white stump sticking forward where his toe nail was. The vet is closed and he keeps pacing around. What should I do and what will the vet do to fix it? (I don't have a lot of money to spend to get it fixed!)My dog ripped his back toe nail off. The toe nail is sideways %26amp; I can see a white stub where his toe nail was?
first of all if he is an outside dog bring him inside even if he sheds a lot. Keep the wound clean do not put medicine on it just maybe gently rinse it of with a damp towel. Wrap it up in case of bleeding and to keep it clean. If he keeps pacing i would put him in a cage so that he does not walk on it and hurt it even more. When the vet opens up they would probably prescribe pain medicine and give an x-ray to see if there is anything broken. Besides that they cant really do anything except clean it once again and wait for time to heal the wound. My dog ripped his back toe nail off. The toe nail is sideways %26amp; I can see a white stub where his toe nail was?
first off i would like to say that it SHOULD grow back but idk what that white stub is unless its the new one coming in already the vet will probally just tell you to let it grow back and make sure the dog doesnt bite/itch it
First of all, be very careful - this can be painful, and a dog in pain is a dangerous dog. If you can get him to go in a crate without getting near him, do tat. Toss a treat in there, and have him go in for the night.

First thing in the morning, take him to the vet.

They will arrange some way to pay, but this is not something you can fix yourself, and he needs antibiotics. As for the damage to his toe, the vet needs to take a look with a muzzle on the dog, and an experienced vet tech holding him. The vet will tell you whether they need to do anything, or whether they can just give him a local anesthetic and snip it off.

If you attempt tro treat this yourself and it gets infected, it will be a major surgery. Please just have the vet do it properly now.

If you have a muzzle, put it on before putting your dog in the car, and keep him on a leash. But don't mess with the paw yourself, or you will likely get bitten.
honestly you maybe able to manage it at home, but the part that is sticking out needs to come off, it will bleed they make some anti-spetic powder called quick stop (pet stores carry it), apply it and hold for about 15 sec. or until the bleeding stops, then get a piece of gauze apply neosporin on the gauze then some vet wrap, change the bandage every day for usually about 2-3 days.

IF any excessive pain or looks infected take him in. Good luck you may want some help to make sure you don't get bit.

to get your nails white again after you put nail polish on them is you have to get achoal or nail cleaner to get it off
I noticed once when i cleaned the bathroom, using diluted bleach and water, my nail tips were alabaster white. GLEAMING. Although, i would say bleach is hard on your nails.
    I usually use baby oil.
    Lemmon and milk (no kidding)
    lemon juice
soak in lemon juice or vinegar
i used white nail polish and it seemed to work...not really sure if it does for sure, though
hmmm..what do you mean exactly? to take the color off, you want to you a nail polish remover and a cotton ball/tissue. soak the item and rub it over your nail, until the color comes off.

to remove dis-coloring on your nail (like your nail is stained) rub lemon on them for a few minutes and rinse with warm water. use a base coat next time and it should not happen. also, try going to a beauty supply store (like sallys) and find a nail polish that removes the stains.
put ur nails in water and a lot of solt for 30 - 40 minutes. then cut a lemon in half and rub ur nails with lemon juice and powder soda.
rub your nails with a fresh cut lemon.

You'll be lucky! I don't think it actually comes out of anything!
have you tried nail varnish remover??
There is no way to take it out. My daughter got red nail polish on a pair of sweat pants. I tried bleach, nail remover, and all kinds of fabric cleaners, including those nifty ';removes anything'; cleaners. Nothing worked, so my suggestion is the same as the rest of the group - throw them away and get a new pair.
try bleach or red nail varnish remover......DUH!!!!!
Hey, this is a dicey job - red nail varnish on a white pair

of trousers. You can try with a nail varnish remover but it

may not remove completely, with some slight red colour

stains on the white trousers. Then try to remove the smeared

red stains by bleaching it with Clorox solution. This may

help and repeat it again until the stains are gone and the white

    trousers looks white.
cut a hole where u spilled the varnish.. guaranteed to take care of the varnish %26amp; destroy the trousers.
Send it to the dry cleaners! they will sort it out for you!!
You can't. It's better to get out the nail polish again and make it into a flower or a little boat.
    maybe nail varnish remover!
    You can't.

Sorry I really don't think you get it out. You might be able to remove alot of it but the reds dyes will still to the fibres of the cloth.
it's impossible, treat yourself to a new pair

if you can't afford to dye the trousers red then at least you'll get some use out of them
you can use a nail polish remover, then was it or scub it with dove soap a bar of dove soap, several times rinse and scrub, now let it dry, then the next step is touse your regular washing detergent tide or whatever, now you still going to have a little stain, maybe even some pink color, take some bleach and make bleach water mix with water not too strong or later you will get holes in the material, dab it with a cue tip like you use for your ears, then when the pink is gone put it in the machine with the tide and what ever, by it self and wash regular! All the other solutions will be put a patch ove it embrodier over it stuff like that, but this should work for you, if not, nothing will do it, Good Luck!

Why does my nail turn a disgusting white color after wearing nail polish?

My nails used to be naturally pink. After I began getting a manicure now my natural nail color is white.

www.shiseidocity.blogspot.comWhy does my nail turn a disgusting white color after wearing nail polish?
It could be a number of things- nail fungus, reaction to the kind of polish you are using, how long you left the nail polish- if too long it can discolor your nails, what kind of nail polish remover you use. If you are really concerned check with your Dr.Why does my nail turn a disgusting white color after wearing nail polish?
First, you have to make sure your manicurist is professional and the products use are not inferior. The white colour could be due to using of nail polish removal which are too strong. If this is the reason, don't worry, just stop going to that nail salon and the white color will out grow slowly. It could also reflect a poor blood circulation, then you have to take care of your health.

If it isn't made of synthetic material, particularly nylon, you can use nail varnish, ( acetone) IF however it is made of synthetic material, nylon, then Acetone will dissolve it where it is applied!

Do you have to glue or nail a tongue and groove white pine floor?

We are putting a white pine (10.5 inches by 8 foot) tongue and groove floor in our bedroom. Someone told me that we will have to nail it, but other websites say it is OK to just lay it over the OSB and let it ';float';. Also, do we have to leave any space between the wood and the molding? We plan to put a kick plate/quarter round down over the new floor (as opposed to pulling off the molding).Do you have to glue or nail a tongue and groove white pine floor?
nail it. You will need a specail 45 degree nail holder. It hold the nails at a 45 degree angle while you hit the rubber driver with a 2 lb hammer. You do this every 8 inches along the toung side of each board.

Yes leave about a quarter inch or a bit more for expansion...wood will expand once the floor settles. You should also be able to get some quarter round down on it no problem...

Here is a link to see that hammer and the steps to install...

http://www.hammerzone.com/archives/floor鈥?/a>Do you have to glue or nail a tongue and groove white pine floor?
You might get away with gluing it but I think nailing it with a floor nailing tool would be much faster and easier. If it isn't prefinished wood, the glue can be a problem if you don't clean off any excess.

With laminated flooring that is glued, there is a thin foam underlayment that is used to help the floor float. Without it there might be too much friction between the osb and the pine.
Nail it. They make special nailers just for that purpose. Check you local tool rental store.

But this morning my mom freaked out when she noticed that the bottle that fell wasn't closed all the way and it spilled all over the wood floors. So I wiped up the nail polish remover but now there are white marks and spots all over the wood floor and it is VERY noticeable. Are there any products out there that can clean it up or am I just screwed?I accidently spilled nail polish remover on wood floors. How do you fix it and get the white spots gone?
You can't fix it. Your best best is to look in the phone book for someone that refinishes wood furniture. Furniture refinishers are the best at matching color.

The other option is to call a floor refinisher and have him replace the boards. Floor refinishers are not too good about spot repairing prefinished flooring.I accidently spilled nail polish remover on wood floors. How do you fix it and get the white spots gone?
try scrubbing it with steel wool, NOT an sos pad. if that doesn't work your will have to sand it and revarnish the area
Oh goodness, you're not gonna like this answer. The nail poilsh remover literally ate the finish off your Mom's floor. The only way I know how to ';fix'; it, is to sand the effected area down to the bare wood, restain it to match the best you can and then put a clear coat of varnish over that.

Or....buy her a nice throw rug and apologize BIG TIME!

Help, red nail polish on white carpet?

i just knocked over my nail polish onto my beige carpet...lots of it..any ideas how to get it out???Help, red nail polish on white carpet?
Be careful when using a solvent on your carpeting. It may dissolve the carpet! There is a cleaner called Goo Gone. I have used this many times with great results. I have not, however used it on dried nail polish, so cannot speak from experience on this one. But, it has worked for everything else I have tried. You can get it at Home Depot, I know, but should be able to get it other places......

Good luck, Steve.Help, red nail polish on white carpet?
You will probably never get it completely out. If you want to dull the color, use acetone. Gently blot, using a clean part of the paper towel each time. This will dull the red to a pink and make the carpet softer. However, it will never come out completely. The best you can hope for is a soft pink. You will have to replace that section of carpet if that is not good enough for you. Use 100% acetone from the paint section at any hardware store. Do NOT get any acetone on ANY finished surface. Good luck.
DO YOU HAVE A PET? IF SO USE PET RESOLVE! IT WORKS GREAT! HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE! GOT OUT IMMEDIATLY AND PARENTS NEVER KNEW!
nail polish remover, and get really tough paper towel, because if you don't the paper towel will rip.

I had White nail polish on my desk ( dark cherry wood desk) and the nail polish spilled can I remove the stain?

what sucks is I tried to take it off with nail polish remover forgetting it ruins the wood..then i tried polishing it with Pledge..the stain is there and i feel horrible PLEASE HELP!!I had White nail polish on my desk ( dark cherry wood desk) and the nail polish spilled can I remove the stain?
Nail polish remover is a good first step, if applied carefully with a Q-tip. Let the area dry overnight. Then apply a dark cherry wood stain, which you can buy from many large furniture stores; follow directions on the package. Polish with a dry soft cloth. You won't be able to exactly match the original finish, but it may be close enough that you can live with it. If not, you will have to refinish the entire top of the desk.I had White nail polish on my desk ( dark cherry wood desk) and the nail polish spilled can I remove the stain?
Calm down. It's not a huge deal. You'll just need to re-stain the top of the desk (stain only costs a few bucks a can, and is really easy to use). Take in a photo of your desk to a home improvement store, and explain the situation, they'll help you find the right stain, and explain how to use it. I've done the exact same thing, and it only took a few hours out of a Saturday to stain and dry. You can't even tell I did it now. And f your particularly wealthy (I am not), you can always hire a furniature restoration professional to fix it too.
Scrub with mineral spirits (odorless, unless you want it to smell bad.. lol ) The scrubbing wont be easy, it might take 10 mins or so.. After scrubbing spray the spot with hair spray and leave it on for about 30 secs then just wipe it off.

If that doesnt work, your gonna have to repolish/paint the table..

    :/
All you can do now, is cover the stain with a pretty doilie.
You'll have to repaint your desk again. The nail polish remover has dissolved the top coat of your desk.
    try nail polish remover/alcohol
you have to give touch up.

What does it mean when a little white dot is on your finger nail?

you know how sometimes your finger nail has a little white dot that appears every once in a while?? well what does that mean? What does it mean when a little white dot is on your finger nail?
A white mark on finger or toe nails may be a previous unnoticed injury only appearing later after the nail has grown out.

It could be related to diet, nail growth or your immune system and a deficiency of some kind of nutrient, not necessarily lack of calcium, maybe lack of zinc.

Basically if it doesn't happen frequently, don't worry about it.What does it mean when a little white dot is on your finger nail?
Someone loves you... in myth of course.

No you don't have low calcium, if you did your whole fingernail would of been white.

They are called punctate leukonychia in the medical field, but we get them all the time from hitting our nails or allergic reactions from nail polish and the such. But nothing to worry about unless they are overwhelming and constant.
    low calcium
