You should buy a more expensive brand for light colors. Something about light hitting the color inside the bottle...Im not sure exactly, I read it in a magazine many years ago. I also keep my nail polish in a closet that is dark and cool. This helps. I would recommend white polish from OPI or something like that. Then, make sure to keep it out of the heat and away from windows.Why does every white nail polish i buy get so stringy?

its about quality not quantity.
check out some good nail polish brands and try sallys..
they have good products for the most part
