Help, red nail polish on white carpet?

i just knocked over my nail polish onto my beige carpet...lots of it..any ideas how to get it out???Help, red nail polish on white carpet?
Be careful when using a solvent on your carpeting. It may dissolve the carpet! There is a cleaner called Goo Gone. I have used this many times with great results. I have not, however used it on dried nail polish, so cannot speak from experience on this one. But, it has worked for everything else I have tried. You can get it at Home Depot, I know, but should be able to get it other places......

Good luck, Steve.Help, red nail polish on white carpet?
You will probably never get it completely out. If you want to dull the color, use acetone. Gently blot, using a clean part of the paper towel each time. This will dull the red to a pink and make the carpet softer. However, it will never come out completely. The best you can hope for is a soft pink. You will have to replace that section of carpet if that is not good enough for you. Use 100% acetone from the paint section at any hardware store. Do NOT get any acetone on ANY finished surface. Good luck.
DO YOU HAVE A PET? IF SO USE PET RESOLVE! IT WORKS GREAT! HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE! GOT OUT IMMEDIATLY AND PARENTS NEVER KNEW!
nail polish remover, and get really tough paper towel, because if you don't the paper towel will rip.
