Dark purple nail polish on a white bedspread!!!!! How can I remove it?????

I have a 50% cotton and 50% polyester bedspread my son has just gotten dark purple nail polish all on I have tried removing it with nail polish remover but I dont appear to be having much luck at removing it


any serious suggestions are very greatfully received as my bedspread cost a fortune from next a couple months ago

I just had a quick look around for you and there were loads of suggestions, ranging from bug repellent to banana oil! I don't know where you'd go about getting those (?!)


I heard vodka works on stains but not so sure.


Maybe try bicarbonate of soda in a paste on the stain?


and then washing in a mild detergent.

take it to your local cleaners see if they can spot clean it for you
Probably out of luck, maybe buy some applicaques or however you spell it, and sew over the spot and other spots to decorate it. Might tell the son to quit wearing dark purple nail polish as a punishment!
Try soaking and swabbing with nail polish remover and cotton wool then wash and dry and then use a good quality bleach. That's what I would try anyway. Good luck.
Try neat acetone from chemist (which is actually nail polish remover but in larger quantity)
