How to make nails white again??

I think its cause I've kept nail polish on them for too long, but my toenails have like a yellowish tint on them, how do I make it go away?How to make nails white again??
I'm a cosmetologist and a nail-tech. You have to make sure you remove the polish well first. Then file your nails VERY lightly all over the surface enough to remove the thin yellow top surface. (warning: do not press hard when u file just light enough to remove the surface that was exposed to your recent nail polish. Over pressing and over-doing it can make your nails thin and easy to break.)

After this, take a buffer (you can buy a file/buffer that's called 3-in-one, it's one piece that has (#1 file and the other side of it is half smooth #2, other's is smoother#3.)

After filing using#1 the step above. Use #2 to smoothen the surface of each nails. Followed this by the #3 smoothest side ---buff faster and very lightly press on to your nails.When done, wash both hands. DO NOT SOAK in BLEACH as this will harm your skin esp. sensitive skin will be dry. Just get a cotton, wet w/ regular peroxide. Apply this on top of your nails only just like applying nail polish remover. Press the cotton till whole nail is wet and leave on for 30 sec. each nails to soak. This will maintain your nails to be white as always. Make sure everytime you put nail polish, use base coat then the colored polish, then top coat. If your nails always turn yellow or darker, it could be because you're taking medication or you should see a specialist as this could be a sign of something else. Goodluck.How to make nails white again??
Well hopefully it's not a fungus or anything. (if it is, it will go away easily)

I've never heard of the bleach thing, that scares me...but intrigues me too... :)

Rubbing alcohol would kill bacteria=good idea.

Drinking milk/water=best idea

Milk also takes part in break outs so drink more water than milk, I'd say.
Take off all the old polish, and then file the whole nail. Use a lemon wedge and rub it on the nail. keep the nail clear of polish for a week.
heya,

I soak mine in bleach after I wear nail polish and they look white and new again.... though if you are sensitive to chemicals, you may want to try half bleach and half water?

It doesnt take long at all.

Have a happy day and let me know if it works well for you!!

Carrie =)
At the beauty supply store they sell white buffers. (they are a rectangle shape)..the have a very fine grit to them....buff over you nails and toe nails and Voila!!! No more yellow...Its also wise if you wear a lot of polish to use a base coat...that will help your nails not to stain as easily....
my mom likes to stick her fingernails in bleach water and let them soak for a while. It helps keep hers white, try it and tell me what you think.
drink lots of milk and water and soak your toenails in rubbing alcohol for 5 minutes a day until it is cleared up
