How do you get nail polish (red ) off of white carpet ?

Nail polish remover will spread the polish to make a bigger stain.Get a small pair of manicure scissors, and get right down on the the carpet and carefully cut the fibers with the polish on them.Cut just the fibers with the polish on them. You may need a magnifing glass.this is really the only way to remove the color. How do you get nail polish (red ) off of white carpet ?

Test remover in an inconspicuous spot for color fastness of the carpet.

Then try.
try goo gone
nail polish remover or wd 40 and water
first rub on nail polish remover to remove most of the stain, then put carpet stain remover to take out the rest.
You could always try nail polish remover. If that doesn't work, you could try using rubbing achohol. I'm sorry if my suggestions don't work. If they don't, just get liquid stain remover from the store.
Try acetone free polish remover. Acetone will dissolve the carpet fibers.
If the spill isn't too large, I would just snip the top fibers (if the pile is high enough). Otherwise, they used to sell Carbon Technichloride (!). It works on everything. But I don't know if you can get it anymore (taken off the market maybe).
put a rug over it
FINGERNAIL POLISH REMOVER OR BRAKE FLUID WILL DO THE SAME
