you get some tape for all 10 finer nails but make sure there short (not to longer then the width of your nail) put ontop of the nail but leaving some room at the top (and the nail at the top that has no tape is what your going to be painting white so you can make it as thick as you want) when dryed take off the tape nd you have a perfect white tipped finger nails!!!!

You can buy a french manicure kit. They provide you with the white nail polish and sticker guides to be able to apply the white tips on straight. Any pharmacy will have these kits.

you can tear pieces of tape and put then on each nail, leaving the ends out how far you want.. if you're good you can just trace the line of your nails; use a toothpick to fix little mistakes :)
You can apply white nail polish on the tips then shape it with either a q-tip or a brush soaked with nail polish remover.
i use scotch tape to make a line..and then paint then take the paint off.
Tape over the part of your nail you DON'T want to be white, and just paint.
